Job Summary:

The CNC Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the CNC machines within the manufacturing facility. The role involves both preventive and breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical issues, and supervision of maintenance activities across shifts to minimize downtime and enhance machine reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular preventive and predictive maintenance of CNC and allied machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform breakdown maintenance on time to minimize production interruptions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems of CNC equipment.
  • Monitor and maintain machine uptime, analyzing repetitive issues to recommend long-term solutions.
  • Maintain maintenance logs, service records, and reports for all CNC equipment.
  • Support installation, commissioning, and calibration of new CNC machines and automation systems.
  • Ensure adherence to safety standards and maintenance SOPs.
  • Supervise maintenance technicians, manage shifts, and ensure compliance with preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment performance and productivity.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Mechatronics Engineering.
  • ITI Fitter
  • Strong understanding of CNC controls, servo drives, and PLC-based systems.
  • Hands-on experience in troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults.
  • Knowledge of maintenance tools, diagnostic instruments, and safety practices.
  • Good coordination skills.
  • Willingness to work in shifts and respond to maintenance emergencies.
