The
Manager – Conference & Expo
will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing large-scale sustainability, policy, and industry-focused conferences and exhibitions under the
Urdhva Management / Recommerce
brand.

Success in this role means delivering high-quality events that drive stakeholder engagement, secure government and industry partnerships, and achieve business growth.

This role is key to the organization's mission of promoting circular economy initiatives and connecting thought leaders, policymakers, and innovators across sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the
    end-to-end management
    of conferences, expos, and summits — from concept development to on-ground execution.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with
    ministries, PSUs, industry associations, and corporate stakeholders
    .
  • Develop event content, themes, and agendas aligned with sustainability and policy objectives.
  • Drive
    delegate and sponsorship acquisition
    through effective communication and relationship-building.
  • Oversee financial planning, budgeting, and event profitability.
  • Coordinate across departments — production, marketing, operations, and sales — to ensure seamless execution.
  • Supervise and mentor junior team members to enhance performance and accountability.
  • Monitor post-event analytics and prepare reports to evaluate impact and identify areas of improvement.

Qualifications

  • Education:
    Graduate or Postgraduate in Business Administration, Public Policy, Event Management, or related fields.
  • Experience:
    Minimum
    3–5 years
    in managing large-scale conferences, expos, or policy-linked events.
  • Strong understanding of
    government processes, stakeholder engagement, and partnership management
    .
  • Excellent
    verbal and written communication skills
    in English and Hindi (knowledge of regional languages is a plus).
  • Proficiency in
    Microsoft Office Suite, CRM tools, and event management platforms
    .
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills with a focus on collaboration and results.
