1.    Quality Assurance Planning: Developing and implementing quality assurance plans and procedures to ensure that electric motors meet specified quality standards and requirements.

2.    Quality Control Processes: Quality control processes throughout the manufacturing or assembly process of electric motors, including incoming materials inspection, in-process inspections, and final product testing.

3.    Supplier Quality Management: Collaborating with suppliers to establish quality requirements for raw materials, components, and parts used in electric motors. Conducting audits and assessments to ensure supplier compliance with quality standards.

4.    Product Testing and Validation: Establishing testing protocols and procedures to validate the performance, durability, and safety of electric motors. Analyzing test data and identifying areas for improvement.

5.    Root Cause Analysis: Investigating quality issues or defects in electric motors to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.

6.    Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of quality control activities, test results, and compliance documentation. Generating reports and communicating quality performance metrics to management and relevant stakeholders.

7.    Continuous Improvement: Leading continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality, efficiency, and reliability of electric motors. Implementing best practices and adopting new technologies or methodologies to drive quality excellence.

8.    Conducting type testing on electric motors according to relevant industry standards (e.g., IEC 60034 series) and customer specifications.

9.    Performing electrical, mechanical, and environmental tests to verify the design characteristics and capabilities of the motor.

10.  Developing and implementing routine testing procedures for electric motors to ensure ongoing performance and reliability

11.  Conducting routine tests on motor samples or production batches to monitor key parameters such as insulation resistance, winding resistance, insulation quality, vibration levels, and temperature rise.

12.  Maintaining test equipment and instrumentation to ensure accuracy and reliability of test results.

13.  Collaborating with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to address any quality issues or non-conformities identified during Motor Inspection &  testing

14. Interpretation and evaluation of PT, MT, RT, LT, VT and UT test results.

Requirement profile :

à    Formal education :   BE (Mechanical)

à    Professional experience

in years :  12 Years

à    Special skills :  Sound knowledge of Routine and Type testing of Electric Motor.

Defined Competencies :

  • Familiar to International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) IEC 60034 series aspects related to rotating electrical machines, including induction motors.

  • NDE Level II qualification in VT, PT, MT, UT, RT

  • Familiar to ASME Section IIA, III, V, VIII, IX standards.

  • Knowledge of Electric Motor Mechanical and Electrical Inspections & processes.

  • Planning and coordination.

  • Problem solving and decision making

  • Effective communication [ verbal & written]
