About the Role

We are looking for a talented Shopify Front-end Developer to join our team. You will play a key role in building, customizing, and optimizing eCommerce websites on the Shopify platform. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in Shopify theme development, Liquid, and modern front-end technologies, with a strong eye for detail and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and customize eCommerce sites on the Shopify platform.
  • Build custom Shopify themes from scratch.
  • Extend Shopify's functionalities using Storefront APIs, Liquid programming, metafields, and custom scripts.
  • Integrate third-party and platform-supported apps into Shopify stores.
  • Ensure page speed optimization and implement SEO/CRO best practices.
  • Create responsive, cross-browser-compatible website designs.
  • Develop and deploy backend systems as necessary for Shopify operations.
  • Work with the GIT version control system.
  • Troubleshoot and debug across devices and browsers.
  • Maintain documentation of themes, components, and workflows.
  • Stay up to date with Shopify platform updates and new features.
  • Thoroughly QA all work before submission.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the Shopify platform.
  • Expertise in Shopify theme development and customization.
  • Expert-level knowledge of the Shopify Liquid templating language.
  • Proficiency in working with different Shopify JS APIs.
  • Expertise in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Tailwind CSS.
  • Knowledge of backend APIs (GraphQL, REST) and integrating them into Shopify.
  • Thorough understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
  • Strong understanding of responsive web design techniques.
  • Understanding of W3C web standards, semantics, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Nice-to-have

  • Backend experience with and GraphQL.
  • Experience building apps for Shopify (App Bridge, Svelte/React, PostgresDB).
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS.
  • Experience with AI Tools and a willingness to learn.
