Java Developer with GCP

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Java Developer with GCP to design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-native applications on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have strong Java programming skills, hands-on experience with GCP services, and proficiency in containerization and CI/CD practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop cloud-native applications using Java and GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine, App Engine, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, BigQuery).
  • Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and orchestrate deployments with Kubernetes (GKE).
  • Develop and deploy microservices and APIs adhering to cloud best practices.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Cloud Build.
  • Optimize application performance, scalability, and security within GCP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including DevOps, QA, and Security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve runtime and deployment issues.
  • Maintain technical documentation and participate in code reviews.
  • Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and GCP features.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud development, preferably with GCP.
  • Proficiency in Java (Spring Boot preferred) and object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with GCP services like GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine, BigQuery, Cloud Storage.
  • Strong understanding of containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles and IAM best practices.
  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, BigQuery).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
