Banking Consulting Americas which is a part of Americas Region under 'FSGIU - Consulting' delivers Oracle Technology and Applications solutions for clientele in the North America and Caribbean region. The service offerings include Application Implementation, Managed Services and Customization development services for Oracle Financial Services Software Banking products.

Your Responsibilities

• Activities in Development or Implementation or Managed Service activity streams as a Technical Consultant. Your responsibilities include:
• Lead as Senior Technical team member in Development or Implementation or Managed Service activity streams such as Migration, Testing support and coordination with other Oracle teams at client locations or offshore teams for various activities.
• Able to lead medium to large technical team and guide them in their deliverables in Development or Implementation or Managed Service activities
• Lead and provide technical services as part of development and Implementation activities of Oracle FLEXCUBE Core Banking product. Both offshore as well as Onsite at Customer location
• Assist with analysis, design and implementation of solutions for various business requirements. Analyze solution approaches, estimations, best practices, project risks and recommendations.
• Develop programs as per specifications/requirements given by Oracle / Client within planned schedule. Able to do Unit Testing, Integrate / Deploy units into intermediate environments and support the Testing cycles progressively as per specifications/requirements given by Oracle/Customer within planned schedule
• Participate and lead the project meetings and Product-Walkthrough workshops with the Customer
• Use defined standards/tools/processes to achieve deliverables that meet quality expectations of Oracle / Client.
• Coordinate with various stakeholders in projects for extension deliveries, implementation of Patch set, fixes etc.
• He/she will need to successfully manage Customer Relationship and respond / address any initial escalations from Customer
• Document all work in accordance with agreed standards/processes applicable for Oracle / Client.
• Adhere to defined Change Control Process of Oracle / Client. Comply with Oracle / Client audit / Compliance requirements.
• Ensure quality code delivery.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technology or design specifications
• Plan, manage and communicate the progress of the project, achieving project milestones and maintaining momentum of the project
• Perform proper handover / knowledge transfer at end of each assignment.
• Timely status reporting to supervisor.
• Hands on Expertise in Deployments and Backup/Restore Operations
• Timely submission of timesheets and expenses for Oracle / Clients.
  

Your Qualifications

• You possess experience in end-to-end Development and / or Implementation and / or Support activities covering expertise areas such as design of customizations, Coding and Unit testing, executing Test cycle rounds including End of Days, migrations and Integrations for Oracle FLEXCUBE / Core banking products
• Proven ability to lead medium to large technical team and guide them in their deliverables in Development or Implementation or Managed Service activities
  You possess knowledge and skills in software programming in Core Java, J2EE, , Rest API, JavaScript, XML. Experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle Database
• You should have experience in procedures, triggers and functions
• You have working knowledge of Release management and Source control tools
• You should be able to perform Issue Tracking on Application and follow-up for resolution of same with stakeholders
• You possess good client interaction skills in areas including presentation of solutions
• You have exposure to software deployment and troubleshooting on Application Server software especially Oracle Weblogic
• You have exposure to analysis of Oracle Database AWR/ADDM reports and troubleshooting of database performance issues.
• You should be able to demonstrate experience in translating customer business requirements into workable business solutions either as software solutions or as re-engineering initiatives
• You should have very good knowledge of banking terminologies, concepts and processes
• You possess good Team management skills
• You possess IT skills including Microsoft Office
• You possess good communication & documentation skills in English

Secondary Skills

• You have exposure to Banking Domain and Functional knowledge of Banking systems
• You have exposure to software development processes and practices, DevOps tools, Testing tools
• You are aware of latest technologies in Banking
• You should have hands-on Development, Implementation and / or production support experience with any Core Banking product, ideally Oracle Flexcube UBS
• Experience on development and implementation of Interfaces, Batch operations, Trouble shooting, and resolution of issues encountered in Testing cycles

Experience

• Experience of 8 to 10 years
• Experience in development and / or implementation and / or support of core banking applications.
• Educational and Other Qualifications
• Should hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent degree

Work Environment

• Should be willing to work at offshore as well as travel to client locations
• Should be willing to take up FLEXCUBE Technical certifications in functional areas as and when required.
• Ability to work in a high pressure, fast moving and challenging environment
