ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare structured cabling designs, layouts, and detailed BOQ based on project requirements.
  • Develop drawings, SLDs, and rack layouts using AutoCAD or similar tools.
  • Design and plan LAN, fibre, and voice cabling infrastructure as per international standards (EIA/TIA, ISO/IEC).
  • Conduct site surveys and feasibility studies for new installations and expansions.
  • Coordinate with project managers and installation teams to ensure proper implementation of designs.
  • Prepare as-built documentation, labelling schemes, and test reports.
  • Ensure adherence to safety and quality standards during execution.
  • Support pre-sales and bid teams with technical inputs, design proposals, and BOQ validations.
  • Work closely with vendors and OEMs for technical specifications and compatibility.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of latest cabling products and technologies.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field.
  • 2–6 years of experience in passive network design and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of structured cabling systems (Cat6, Cat6A, Fiber – SM/MM, Patch Panels, LIUs, Racks, etc.)
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and Visio.
  • Familiarity with BICSI, TIA/EIA, and ISO/IEC cabling standards.
  • Ability to read and prepare technical drawings, layouts, and documentation.
  • Good communication and coordination skills for client and vendor interactions.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Certification in BICSI / AutoCAD / Fiber Optics / Passive Infrastructure Design.
  • Experience in Data Center Cabling Design, ELV Integration, or Network Audit Projects.
  • Exposure to project estimation, costing, and documentation tools.
