  • Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) welding on mild steel, stainless steel, and other metals as required.
  • Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to drawings and specifications.
  • Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and fitting before welding.
  • Read and understand technical drawings, welding symbols, and fabrication sketches.
  • Ensure dimensional accuracy during assembly and welding.
  • Inspect welds for quality, penetration, and alignment.
  • Identify and correct weld defects such as porosity, undercut, spatter, etc.
  • Maintain welding parameters (current, voltage, wire feed speed, gas flow).
  • Set up welding machines, select appropriate wire, nozzles, and shielding gas.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in proper working condition.
  • Report any equipment faults immediately.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in MIG welding on different materials.
  • Ability to read engineering and fabrication drawings.
  • Good hand–eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of welding techniques, joint preparation, and heat control.
  • Experience in grinding, cutting, and metal finishing (preferred).
