Chief Land Acquisition Expert

Key Responsibilities· Lead and manage end -to -end land acquisitionprocesses for infrastructure projects (Railway/Highway/Metro/Other BOTprojects).· Liaise with State/Central Governmentauthorities, local administration, revenue departments, and other stakeholdersto facilitate smooth acquisition and transfer of land.· Ensure compliance with the Right to FairCompensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation andResettlement Act, 2013 and other relevant land and revenue laws.· Develop strategies to mitigate risks and resolvechallenges related to land disputes, compensation, resettlement, andrehabilitation.· Coordinate with legal teams, project managers,and contractors to ensure land -related clearances are aligned with projectschedules.· Prepare and maintain accurate records,documentation, and reports of land acquisition progress.· Provide expert advice to management on landacquisition policies, legal implications, and stakeholder engagement.· Represent the organization in negotiations,meetings, and discussions with government authorities and affected parties. RequirementsExperience Requirements· Total Professional Experience: Minimum 15years of professional experience.· Relevant Experience (any one of thefollowing) At least 5 years' experience in Railway/Highwayprojects as a Liaison Manager with direct involvement in land acquisition forBOT/Construction Agencies. At least 3 years at Manager level or above in a RailwayPSU handling construction project with significant land acquisitionresponsibilities. At least 3 years in State GovernmentAdministration/Revenue Department as a Gazetted Officer handling and enablingland acquisition for infrastructure projects.Key Skills & Competencies· In -depth knowledge of Land Acquisition Laws andRevenue Laws (mandatory).· Strong negotiation, coordination, andstakeholder management skills.· Ability to navigate complex legal andadministrative frameworks.· Excellent communication, documentation, andleadership skills.· Proven track record of handling large -scale landacquisition projects.· Ability to manage conflict resolution withfairness and transparency.· High integrity and strong ethical standards.· Familiarity with rehabilitation &resettlement (R&R) frameworks.
