Role Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Multi-DBA to manage and optimize enterprise-level databases across various platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in SQL Server administration, with additional expertise in Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL. This role involves overseeing database performance, ensuring high availability, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business-critical applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Database Administration:

  • Manage and maintain SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and MySQL databases.

  • Perform installations, configurations, upgrades, and patch management.

  • Implement and manage backup and recovery strategies.

  • Performance Optimization:

  • Monitor database performance and implement tuning techniques.

  • Analyze and optimize SQL queries, indexes, and execution plans.

  • Utilize tools like SQL Profiler, Execution Plans, and Dynamic Management Views (DMVs) for performance diagnostics.

  • High Availability & Disaster Recovery:

  • Configure and manage high availability solutions such as AlwaysOn Availability Groups, Oracle Data Guard, and replication setups.

  • Plan and execute disaster recovery drills to ensure data integrity and availability.

  • Security & Compliance:

  • Implement database security measures, including user access controls and encryption.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Collaboration & Support:

  • Work closely with development, infrastructure, and business intelligence teams.

  • Provide 24x7 support during on-call rotations.
  • Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.

Required Technical Skills:

  • Primary Skills:

  • 510 years of hands-on experience in SQL Server administration.

  • Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and automation using PowerShell.

  • Experience with cloud-hosted SQL Server environments (e.g., AWS RDS, Azure SQL).

  • Secondary Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience with Oracle Database administration.

  • Familiarity with PostgreSQL and MySQL database management.

  • Knowledge of replication technologies and clustering solutions.

  • Tools & Monitoring:

  • Experience with database monitoring tools like Quest Spotlight and Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).

  • Familiarity with performance tuning and diagnostic tools.
