  • Job Summary:
  • The Sales Officer - FMCG plays a vital role in achieving the company's sales targets for Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) products. This role requires building strong relationships with retailers, distributors, and wholesalers, while strategically promoting and selling our FMCG products within an assigned territory. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Manage and grow a designated portfolio of customer accounts.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs, competitor activity, and market trends.
  • Develop and deliver impactful sales presentations and promotional activities.
  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure on-time product delivery.
  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries, complaints, and requests.
  • Generate detailed sales reports and analyse data to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with marketing and logistics teams to ensure successful product launches and promotions.
  • Maintain a professional and positive relationship with all stakeholders.

  • Achieve or exceed assigned sales targets for volume, value, and profitability.
  • Grow existing customer accounts and acquire new customers within the territory.
  • Increase brand awareness and product visibility through effective promotional activities.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and distributors.
  • Minimize stockouts and ensure efficient inventory management practices.
  • Achieve high customer satisfaction ratings through exceptional service and prompt issue resolution.
  • Develop and deliver impactful sales presentations that effectively communicate product benefits.
  • Generate accurate and insightful sales reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams to achieve organizational goals.

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in FMCG sales (required).
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (preferred).
  • Additional Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in specific FMCG categories (e.g., food & beverage, personal care).
  • Knowledge of retail and distribution channels.
  • Strong understanding of customer relationship management (CRM) principles.
  • Experience with sales force automation (SFA) tools.
  • Desired Certifications:
  • FMCG Sales Certification (e.g., Certified Professional in Consumer Goods Sales) (a plus).
