Job Summary:

The Executive – Tool Room is responsible for managing the maintenance, repair, and development of moulds, dies, jigs, and fixtures used in plastic moulding operations. The role ensures smooth functioning of the tool room by coordinating production schedules, preventive maintenance, and quality checks to meet production and product quality targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise tool room operations related to mould repair, maintenance, and new tool development.
  • Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for moulds and tools.
  • Monitor tool performance and ensure minimal downtime during production runs.
  • Coordinate with design, production, and quality departments for mould trials and modifications.
  • Handle troubleshooting during mould breakdowns and take corrective actions promptly.
  • Maintain records of tool maintenance, spare parts, and mould life cycle.
  • Work closely with vendors for tool manufacturing and refurbishment.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety norms, and ISO procedures.
  • Support new product development (NPD) by assisting in tool design evaluation and improvement.
  • Manage a small team of toolmakers, CNC/EDM operators, and machinists.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of injection moulding tools, jigs, fixtures, and precision machining.
  • Proficiency in CNC, EDM, VMC machines, and related tool room equipment.
  • Understanding of mould design, maintenance schedules, and plastic material behavior.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and use CAD/CAM software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
  • Strong coordination, documentation, and leadership skills.

Educational Qualification:

  • Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical Engineering, or Production Engineering.

Experience Required:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Tool Room / Mould Maintenance in a Plastic Injection Moulding industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹40, ₹60,000.00 per month
