Mechanical Systems: Designing and overseeing the installation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems.

Selecting and specifying mechanical equipment such as boilers, chillers, pumps, and fans.

Ensuring that mechanical systems comply with building codes, standards, and regulations.

Collaborating with architects and other engineers to integrate mechanical systems into the overall building design.

Electrical Systems: Designing and overseeing the installation of electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and communication systems.

Calculating electrical loads and determining the appropriate size and type of electrical equipment.

Ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Collaborating with architects and other engineers to integrate electrical systems into the building design.

Plumbing Systems: Designing and overseeing the installation of plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, and fire protection systems.

Selecting and specifying plumbing fixtures, pipes, and pumps.

Ensuring that plumbing systems comply with local plumbing codes and regulations.

Coordinating with architects and other engineers to integrate plumbing systems into the building design.

Coordination and Collaboration: Collaborating with architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the seamless integration of MEP systems with the overall building design.

Reviewing and coordinating MEP drawings and specifications.

Resolving design conflicts and issues that may arise during construction.

Conducting site visits to monitor the progress of MEP installations and address any on-site issues.

Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Estimating the costs associated with MEP systems and components.

Developing and managing budgets for MEP components of construction projects.

Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising the quality and functionality of MEP systems.

Quality Control and Assurance: Implementing quality control measures to ensure that MEP systems meet industry standards and project specifications.

Conducting inspections and tests to verify the proper functioning of MEP systems.

Addressing any deficiencies or deviations from the design specifications.

Project Management: Managing the MEP aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, resource allocation, and coordination.

Communicating regularly with project managers, contractors, and other team members.

Monitoring project timelines and deadlines related to MEP installations.
