Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze requirements, user stories, and design documents to develop effective test plans and test cases.
  • Perform various types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Execute manual test cases and report defects with clear documentation and steps to reproduce.
  • Automation testing using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
  • Collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts and users to understand requirements and resolve issues.
  • Track, prioritize, and manage bugs using project management and defect-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla).
  • Validate fixes and perform re-testing to ensure issues are properly resolved.
  • Identify process improvements and ensure adherence to QA best practices, standards, and
  • guidelines.
  • Participate in test case reviews, sprint planning, and agile ceremonies.
  • Maintain and update test documentation, including test cases, test data, and test results.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in software testing
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
  • Knowledge of various testing methodologies and QA processes.
  • Experience with test case design and execution.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking tools (JIRA, Trello, Redmine).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation.
  • Basic understanding of API testing (Postman, Swagger).
  • Understanding of version control systems like Git.
