Chess Pathshala and our NGO are dedicated to promoting chess education, nurturing young talent, and creating impact through community chess camps and events. We are expanding our digital presence and are looking for a skilled and reliable media professional to help us capture our journey authentically.

We are seeking a proactive and creative individual to handle video recording, photography, and social media content creation for our chess academy and NGO activities. This includes covering coaching camps, online/offline classes, tournaments, events, and behind-the-scenes work.

Key ResponsibilitiesContent Creation & Media

  • Record high-quality videos and capture photographs during:
  • Chess coaching camps
  • Events, workshops, tournaments
  • Academy classes and training sessions
  • NGO activities and outreach programs
  • Set up a simple and effective recording workflow for long-form and short-form content.
  • Assist in shooting on-location, managing equipment, lights, sound (if required).

Editing & Production

  • Edit videos for:
  • YouTube
  • Instagram Reels
  • Facebook & LinkedIn
  • Short clips for promotional use
  • Select and edit photos for social media and website use.
  • Maintain an organized media library of all recorded content.

Social Media Management

  • Post content regularly on:
  • Instagram
  • Facebook
  • YouTube
  • LinkedIn
  • Draft captions, add subtitles, hashtags, and ensure basic SEO for posts.
  • Coordinate with the founder for storytelling-based content and maintaining brand voice.
  • Track post performance and suggest ideas for improvement.

Coordination

  • Be present during all designated camps, events, and important classes.
  • Coordinate with parents, students, and team to capture moments respectfully and professionally.
  • Support in preparing promotional materials for sponsors and partners when needed.

Skills & Requirements

  • Experience in videography and photography (portfolio preferred).
  • Basic to intermediate video editing skills (CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci, etc.).
  • Good understanding of Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and social media trends.
  • Ability to shoot handheld and with tripod; basic understanding of lighting & framing.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail.
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working around children.
  • Willingness to travel for camps and events.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in sports, education, or event coverage is a plus.
  • Knowledge of chess (optional but preferred).
  • Graphic design skills (Canva or similar tools) is an added advantage.
  • Video editing
