We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Café Floor Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our café. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage and motivate a team effectively. The Café Supervisor will be responsible for ensuring a seamless operation, delivering an exceptional customer experience, and driving revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the café, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Manage the café's opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance with company policies and standards.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels, placing orders for supplies and ingredients as needed.
  • Ensure the café's cleanliness and maintenance meet health and safety standards at all times.

Staff Management:

  • Recruit, train, and supervise café staff, including baristas, servers, and kitchen staff.
  • Create staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide feedback, and address any staff-related issues promptly.
  • Foster a positive team environment and encourage high standards of service.

Customer Service:

  • Maintain a strong customer-focused approach, ensuring a warm, friendly, and efficient service experience.
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback, resolving issues promptly to maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Implement customer engagement initiatives, such as loyalty programs or special promotions, to drive repeat business..

Compliance and Safety:

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
  • Maintain all necessary licenses, permits, and certifications for café operations.
  • Implement safety procedures and ensure staff are trained in emergency protocols.

Marketing and Community Engagement:

  • Work with the marketing team to develop promotional activities and campaigns to attract new customers.
  • Engage with the local community and organize events to increase the café's visibility and reputation.
  • Monitor customer reviews and feedback on social media and online platforms, implementing improvements as needed.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Café Manager, Restaurant Manager, or in a similar role in the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Proficient in inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and standards.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Education:

  • A degree or diploma in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
