JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced Senior AI Engineer to join our team and accelerate the development of Adeline, our agentic AI platform that automates business workflows for media companies managing billions in advertising revenue. You'll work directly with our AI Engineering team to build and scale backend systems that integrate cutting-edge AI capabilities into our core AOS, and other platforms. This is a hands-on product engineering role where you'll collaborate closely with our product team and customers to identify high-impact AI use cases and translate them into production-ready solutions that help the world's largest media companies optimize their advertising operations.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design and develop scalable Python/Java services that power AI-driven features within Operative's advertising management platform, handling systems that process $8.5B in digital and $60B+ in global TV ad revenue
• Collaborate with AI teams to integrate Large Language Models using frameworks like Langchain, LangGraph, and other modern AI toolkits to create agentic workflows that automate complex advertising operations
• Build and maintain data pipelines and backend APIs that empowers our AI agentic capabilities, for powerful workflow and process automations
• Deploy and scale AI applications using Docker containers across AWS/GCP/Azure cloud environments, ensuring high availability for mission-critical advertising operations serving 300+ clients across 25+ countries
• Work directly with media company customers (FOX, NBCU, Disney, HBO, etc.) to understand their workflow pain points and translate business requirements into technical AI solutions that drive measurable revenue impact
• Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and engineering best practices for AI systems, ensuring robust, scalable solutions that can handle enterprise-scale advertising operations
• Develop concrete roadmap items and lead implementation efforts for AI features that advance customers from proof-of-concept to production deployment of agentic AI workflows
  
  

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

Must Have :

• Strong experience with web frameworks including FastAPI/Flask for API development and data manipulation tools like Pandas and SQLAlchemy for handling complex advertising datasets
• Hands-on Docker experience with demonstrated ability to containerize applications and manage deployment pipelines in cloud environments
• Proven experience running LLMs locally and in containerized environments, with practical knowledge of model deployment, optimization, and scaling challenges
• Direct experience integrating LLMs, system prompts, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) into existing production applications, not just proof-of-concepts
• Expertise with leading AI toolkits and frameworks including Langchain, LangGraph, Langfuse, InspectAI, LangSmith, GenAI Toolbox, LlamaIndex, and OpenSearch
• Strong debugging, collaboration, and communication skills with ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and customer-facing teams
• Product engineering mindset with understanding of how to translate customer needs into technical requirements and measurable business outcomes

Preferred:

• Experience with Streamlit for rapid dashboard and demo development
• Background in media, advertising technology, or high-volume transaction processing systems
• Experience with agentic AI workflows and automation of complex business processes
• Knowledge of advertising operations, inventory management, or programmatic advertising concepts

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field
• 5+ years of professional software development experience with focus on backend systems and APIs
• Demonstrated experience shipping AI-powered products or features to production environments
• Experience working with enterprise customers and translating business requirements into technical solutions

Preferred:

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field
• Experience in advertising technology, media technology, or other high-volume transaction processing domains
• Previous experience in a product engineering role where AI/ML capabilities directly impacted customer workflows and business metrics
• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams in AI implementation projects
