Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled System Administrator with 2-3 years of experience to join our organization.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining, configuring, and supporting our organization's IT

infrastructure. The System Administrator will manage servers, networks, endpoints, antivirus solutions, and other IT

systems, ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of all systems. The role also requires experience with

managing endpoint protection software, antivirus management, asset management, and handling the installation of

Microsoft licenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Server and Infrastructure Management:

o Install, configure, and maintain server hardware and software.

o Perform regular system updates, patches, and backups.

o Ensure the proper functioning of servers, workstations, and network devices.

  • Network Administration:

o Administer and troubleshoot network devices such as routers, switches, and firewalls.

o Monitor network performance and resolve any issues.

o Maintain VPNs, wireless networks, and remote access configurations.

  • Endpoint Protection and Antivirus Management:

o Manage and update endpoint protection software to ensure the security of all devices.

o Oversee antivirus software management, updates, and resolution of issues.

o Monitor and respond to security alerts related to endpoints.

  • Asset Management:

o Maintain an accurate inventory of IT hardware, software, and licenses.

o Oversee asset life cycles, including procurement, deployment, and retirement.

o Ensure compliance with software license management and audits.

  • Microsoft Licenses Installation & Management:

o Install, configure, and manage Microsoft licenses, including Office 365, Windows Server, and other

Microsoft products.

o Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and keep records updated.

  • Cloud and Virtualization (AWS/Azure):

o Assist in the management and deployment of cloud-based services (AWS, Azure).

o Help with provisioning, configuring, and maintaining cloud-based resources.

o Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cloud environments, including virtual machines and storage.

  • System Monitoring & Troubleshooting:

o Monitor system performance and ensure uptime and availability of all IT services.

o Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide technical support to end-users.

o Resolve tickets in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

  • Security & Backup:

o Implement and enforce IT security measures (firewalls, anti-virus software, etc.).

o Monitor system security logs for suspicious activity.

o Regularly back up data and perform disaster recovery tests.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

o Maintain up-to-date documentation of systems, networks, and configurations.

o Provide regular status reports to management on IT infrastructure and issues.

  • Collaboration & Support:

o Work with other IT team members and departments to design and implement technology solutions.

o Assist in the deployment of new software applications and IT solutions.

o Provide training and support to end-users on new and existing systems.

Qualifications: Education:

o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work

experience.

Experience:

o 2-4 years of hands-on experience as a System Administrator or in a similar role.

o Experience in managing Linux/Unix and/or Windows server environments.

o Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure) is a plus.

o Experience with endpoint protection software, antivirus management, and asset management.

o Experience in handling Microsoft licenses installation, activation, and management.

  • Skills:

o Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

o Knowledge of server operating systems, Active Directory, and virtualization technologies (VMware,

Hyper-V, etc.).

o Familiarity with endpoint protection software (e.g., ESET, CrowdStrike, Symantec, McAfee).

o Experience with asset management tools and processes.

o Strong understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).

o Experience with backup and disaster recovery strategies.

o Familiarity with monitoring and management tools (Nagios, SolarWinds, etc.).

o Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle critical situations.

  • Certifications (Preferred):

o CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+.

o Microsoft Certified: Windows Server or related certifications.

o Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.

o Linux/Unix administration certifications (e.g., Red Hat, Linux Foundation) are a plus.
