Job Overview:

The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing all financial, accounting, and statutory aspects of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and strong internal controls. This role partners closely with Operations, Sales, and Management to protect profitability and cash flow while enabling data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Controllership & Close:

  • Manage full P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
  • Ensure month-end closure within 5 business days with complete reconciliations.
  • Maintain fixed asset register, audit readiness, and accurate ledger hygiene.

Costing & Variance:

  • Govern standard cost systems; analyze yield, scrap, and absorption variances.
  • Drive root-cause analysis with corrective actions to protect margin.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):

  • Prepare annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and quarterly re-forecasts.
  • Develop pricing simulations and business performance dashboards for MD/Ops/Sales.

Working Capital & Treasury:

  • Drive inventory discipline, credit control, and supplier payment cadence.
  • Manage banking operations, LC/BG documentation, and covenant tracking.
  • Maintain weekly 13-week cash flow view and 12-month rolling forecast.

Taxation & Compliance:

  • Ensure timely and accurate GST, TDS/TCS filings; maintain zero missed due dates.
  • Coordinate with statutory and internal auditors; close issues within 30 days.
  • Handle Ind-AS adjustments and audit queries.

Systems & Process Ownership:

  • Lead finance modules in Tally/SAP/Oracle; ensure GRNGL integrity.
  • Implement automation and dashboards using Advanced Excel / Power BI.
  • Maintain high ERP discipline and standard costing hygiene.

Education & Experience:

Chartered Accountant (CA) with of experience in manufacturing setup.

Proven expertise in standard costing, inventory accounting, GST, and Ind-AS.
