Responsibilities:

  • Lead NPD initiatives with Creo & CATIA tools
  • Implement value engineering strategies
  • Oversee hose, tube, rubber, plastic product development
  • Manage HVAC design projects from concept to commissioning
  • Role Overview:
  • The Engineering Head will lead the complete engineering function of , driving innovation, product development, and engineering excellence across all business verticals. The role involves managing design, development, testing, and validation of automotive components and systems, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and oversee product design, development, and engineering initiatives for automotive tube assemblies, systems, and allied components.
  • Manage New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle from concept to commercialization.
  • Collaborate closely with OEM customers to understand requirements and deliver engineering solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with global automotive standards, regulations, and customer specifications.
  • Develop and implement engineering best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and innovation.
  • Lead cross-functional coordination between Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Drive cost optimization, material innovation, and process improvements.
  • Guide prototype development, validation testing, and technical documentation.
  • Build and mentor a strong engineering team; foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies (EV, hybrid, lightweight materials, sustainability) and align product roadmaps accordingly.
  • Represent technical discussions with global OEMs and technology partners.
  • Key Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of automotive components (tubes, assemblies, thermal management, fuel lines, etc.).
  • Proficiency in CAD/CAE, DFMEA, PFMEA, APQP, PPAP, and other engineering tools/methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Customer-focused with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Qualifications & Experience:
  • B.Tech/M.Tech in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering.
  • 18+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the automotive components industry.
  • Proven track record of leading NPD and engineering for global OEMs.
  • Exposure to EV systems and new mobility technologies will be an added advantage.
