  • Job Role & Responsibilities:
  • Database Migration: Migrate Oracle databases to open-source databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
  • Database Development: Design and develop schemas, tables, triggers, indexes, sequences, and constraints in Oracle & PostgreSQL
  • Business Requirements: Analyze and understand business needs to develop efficient database models and schemas
  • Scripting & Stored Procedures: Write database scripts using stored functions, procedures, packages, and triggers
  • Optimization & Performance Tuning: Provide optimal design solutions to enhance system quality and efficiency
  • ETL & Automation: Write ETL codes, update SQL statements, and create shell scripts for automation
  • Best Practices: Implement and follow database design best practices
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation for reference
  • Collaboration: Work closely with teams to coordinate database-related activities
  • Technical Skills Summary:
  • Mandatory Skills: Oracle DB (11G, 12C, 19C), SQL, PL/SQL, PostgreSQL (PL/pgSQL), SQL Tools (SQL*Plus, TOAD, pgAdmin, etc)
