Major Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying and onboarding new suppliers for mechanical, electrical, or electronic parts (as applicable).
  • Collect and compare supplier quotations; prepare cost comparison sheets for management review.
  • Support negotiation of pricing, payment terms, and lead times under guidance from senior team members.
  • Monitor supplier performance on quality, cost, and delivery parameters.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (Design, Production, Quality, Stores) for technical and commercial alignment.
  • Maintain purchase data, RFQ records, and supplier master information in ERP.
  • Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery and resolve basic supply or documentation issues.
  • Assist in cost reduction projects, vendor localization, and alternate source development.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and ethical standards.

Technical Skills and Experience:

  • Basic understanding of BOMs, drawings, and material specifications.
  • Exposure to ERP systems (SAP / Oracle / any equivalent).
  • Analytical and detail-oriented approach.
  • Negotiation and cost awareness.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data management.

Managerial Skills and Experience:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team.
  • Sense of ownership and urgency when working in the company.
  • Team player with proactive attitude
