DSRC - Senior DevOps Engineer - AWS

Job Title : Senior DevOps Engineer with AWSYears of Experience : 4 to 7 YearsResponsibilities :

• Design, implement, and manage scalable and highly available infrastructure on AWS using services like EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, ECS/EKS, Lambda, etc.
• Build and maintain robust and efficient CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, CircleCI, etc.
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
• Automate repetitive tasks and processes using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or

Go.

• Implement and manage comprehensive monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK stack, etc.
• Ensure the security and compliance of our AWS infrastructure by implementing security best practices, configuring security services, and conducting regular security audits.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application deployment issues in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to foster a DevOps culture and improve the software delivery lifecycle.
• Participate in capacity planning and performance optimization of our AWS environment.
• Implement and manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans for our AWS infrastructure.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest AWS services and DevOps trends.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide support for critical systems.
• Document infrastructure configurations, processes, and best practices.
• Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers within the team.
• Implement and manage containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
• Implement and manage serverless computing solutions using AWS Lambda and API Gateway.
• Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.

Technical Skills :

• Amazon Web Services (AWS) : Deep understanding and hands-on experience with a wide range of AWS services, including but not limited to :1.

Compute : EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS2. Storage : S3, EBS, EFS3. Databases : RDS (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Aurora), DynamoDB4. Networking : VPC, Subnets, Security Groups, NACLs, Route 53, Load Balancers (ALB, NLB, CLB), CloudFront5. Identity and Access Management (IAM)6. Monitoring and Logging : CloudWatch, CloudTrail

• Infrastructure as Code : CloudFormation, Terraform
• Automation : Systems Manager, Step Functions
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) : Strong proficiency in using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation to automate infrastructure provisioning and management.
• CI/CD Tools : Hands-on experience with at least one popular CI/CD tool (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline, CircleCI).
• Containerization : Proficient with Docker and container management principles.
• Orchestration : Experience with container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes (preferably AWS EKS).
• Scripting Languages : Strong scripting skills in at least one of the following: Python, Bash, or

Go.

• Monitoring and Logging : Experience with setting up and managing monitoring and logging solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana).
• Operating Systems : Solid understanding of Linux and/or Windows Server operating systems.
• Networking Fundamentals : Good understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, and other networking protocols.
• Security

Best Practices : Knowledge of security best practices for cloud environments. Preferred Skills :

• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Knowledge of serverless computing architectures and AWS Lambda.
• Experience with API Gateway and building RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with database administration and performance tuning.
• Experience with incident management and root cause analysis.
• Understanding of compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA).
• AWS certifications (AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
• Professional, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator
• Associate).
• Experience with GitOps principles.

Process Skills :

• Strong understanding of DevOps principles and practices.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to document technical solutions and procedures clearly and concisely.
• Experience with incident management and change management processes.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) role.
• Proven experience in managing and scaling infrastructure on AWS.
• Strong understanding of automation and infrastructure as code principles.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a cloud environment.
