Role Summary
This role requires a
hands-on Majesco Billing SME
with strong design, configuration, and development expertise. The Lead Developer will drive requirement alignment, break down work for team execution, and deliver production-grade solutions in Majesco Billing, with working knowledge of Distribution Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • 3 Amigos Sessions (20%):

  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • Validate feasibility of Billing workflows, financial processing, and Distribution Manager touchpoints.

  • Provide technical direction during requirement grooming and backlog refinement.

  • Work Management (20%):

  • Break down epics into sprint-ready user stories with clear acceptance criteria.

  • Define technical design documents, integration contracts, and work allocation.

  • Track execution using Agile tools (Jira/Confluence) and resolve blockers.

  • Hands-on Development (60%):

  • Configure and customize Majesco Billing: payment schedules, installment plans, fees, general ledger postings, and reconciliation.

  • Extend Majesco Billing product models via Java, Spring, and Gosu-like configuration.
  • Build and consume REST/SOAP APIs for Billing integrations with Policy, Claims, external payment gateways, and Distribution Manager.
  • Optimize batch jobs, billing calculations, and exception handling for performance and reliability.
  • Implement data extraction, reporting logic, and custom validation rules.
  • Debug production defects, conduct root cause analysis, and deliver permanent fixes.

Technical Skills & Requirements

  • Expert-level Majesco Billing configuration and extensions (Payment Plan, Financial Transactions, GL Interface).
  • Basic Distribution Manager knowledge (commissions, broker/distributor hierarchy, integration points).
  • Advanced Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Hibernate, SQL/Oracle.
  • Experience in integration with downstream systems (ERP, Payment Gateways, Distribution).
  • Strong debugging and performance optimization skills.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Jenkins, Git, Maven/Gradle.
  • Ability to enforce code quality standards and conduct peer reviews.
