Role: Copy Editor

We are seeking a detail-oriented Copy Editor to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing the quality and clarity of our written content by ensuring it meets high standards of language, grammar, and style. Your keen eye for detail and strong understanding of language nuances will help us maintain a consistent and engaging voice across all our materials.

Key Responsibilities Areas


• Assess and edit a variety of written materials, including books, scripts, storyboards and more, for grammar, punctuation, style, and clarity.

• Maintain and enforce adherence to established style guides and brand voice across all content.

• Offer clear and actionable suggestions to writers, helping them improve their skills and the overall quality of their work.

• Ensure the accuracy and reliability of the content by verifying facts and data.

• Work closely with writers, content creators, and other stakeholders to understand project goals

and timelines.

• Perform thorough language reviews to identify areas of improvement, ensuring all content is

reader-friendly and polished.

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to review and edit assessments, quizzes, and instructional materials for clarity, bias, and

educational effectiveness

• Ability to adapt language and content for various learning styles and educational levels

• Familiarity with e-learning platforms, digital content creation tools, and multimedia resources

• Strong ability to conduct research to ensure the accuracy of educational content and to

incorporate current trends and best practices

• Experience working with educators, subject matter experts, and content creators to ensure

alignment with educational goals

• Ability to adjust to changing project requirements and feedback from stakeholders

Experience

3+ years of experience in copy editing, language reviewing, or a similar role.

Educational Background

Bachelors degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field preferred
