Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Developer with strong experience in Apache Kafka and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems that handle real-time data processing and cloud-native deployments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Java-based backend services and applications.
  • Design and implement Kafka producers, consumers, and stream processing for real-time data pipelines.
  • Build and deploy applications on AWS using services like EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudWatch.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and architecture teams to ensure cloud-native best practices.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability in distributed environments.
  • Ensure secure and reliable integration between microservices and external systems.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging.
  • Document technical designs and system architecture.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in Java 8+ and object-oriented programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka (topics, partitions, consumer groups, stream processing).
  • Solid understanding of AWS services and cloud deployment strategies.
  • Experience with Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and build tools like Maven or Gradle.
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, and message serialization (e.g., Avro, Protobuf).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, ELK stack).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Kafka Streams, KSQL, or Kafka Connect.
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Developer Associate, AWS Solutions Architect).
  • Exposure to containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
