Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager Ocean Freight to support and optimize ocean freight operations for a leading freight forwarding company. You will assist in managing day-to-day operations, customer service, documentation, and team coordination for ocean shipments.
Key Responsibilities
Operations Coordination: Monitor and coordinate FCL, LCL, and breakbulk shipments to ensure smooth execution.
Customer Service: Handle customer queries, provide shipment updates, and ensure high satisfaction.
Documentation: Ensure accuracy and compliance of all shipping documents (BL, DO, COO, etc.).
Team Support: Guide and mentor a team of operations executives and customer service staff.
Carrier Coordination: Liaise with shipping lines, agents, and vendors for cargo movement and issue resolution.
Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on shipment status, delays, and performance metrics.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
3–6 years of experience in ocean freight operations in a freight forwarding company.
Strong understanding of EXIM regulations, Incoterms, and shipping terms.
Excellent communication and coordination skills (English, Hindi).
