Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly driven and experienced Area Sales Manager with a strong background in the paints industry to lead and manage our sales operations in Bangalore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market presence, managing distributor & dealer networks, and leading a high-performing sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve business targets for the assigned area.
  • Manage and grow distributor, dealer, and retail networks in the region.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and provide strategic inputs to management.
  • Ensure effective product placement, brand visibility, and market penetration.
  • Lead, train, and motivate the sales team to achieve performance objectives.
  • Drive secondary sales, ensure timely collections, and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Conduct regular market visits to assess customer needs and feedback.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams for promotional activities and campaigns.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and performance analysis to management.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 10 years of proven experience in the paints industry with a strong track record in sales leadership.
  • In-depth knowledge of paints products, dealer/distributor networks, and market dynamics.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to drive results in a competitive market.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the region.
