As a Marketing Intern you will be responsible for overseeing the RFQ (Request for Quotation) process, coordinating cross-functional feasibility studies, and ensuring accurate and timely customer responses. This role requires close collaboration with engineering, costing, and production teams to evaluate customer requirements, calculate costs, and drive the quotation process, positioning the company as a responsive and reliable partner.

Key Responsibilities:

RFQ Management:

  • Receive, review, and prioritize incoming RFQs from customers, ensuring all necessary details are collected and verified.
  • Maintain a structured and accessible RFQ database, keeping records up-to-date and tracking RFQ status from submission through to customer response.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

  • Set up and lead cross-functional teams involving engineering, production, and quality departments to carry out feasibility studies on RFQs.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings to ensure a thorough assessment of each RFQ, including technical feasibility, material requirements, and production constraints.

Costing and Supplier Coordination:

  • Obtain quotations and cost information from pattern shops, tooling manufacturers, and other external suppliers.
  • Evaluate cost inputs from suppliers and internal teams to support accurate and competitive quotations.

Customer Response and Communication:

  • Prepare and review RFQ responses, ensuring they meet customer requirements in terms of pricing, timelines, and feasibility.
  • Work with the sales team to ensure RFQ responses are communicated to customers within agreed timelines, providing a positive and professional customer experience.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Manage the RFQ database to maintain accurate, current information on all inquiries, allowing for efficient retrieval and reporting.
  • Generate weekly and monthly reports on RFQ activity, win/loss analysis, and customer feedback to support strategic decision-making.

Process Improvement:

  • Continuously seek to improve the RFQ and feasibility study process, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
