Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced
Planning Engineer
with a strong background in oil & gas projects to develop, monitor, and control project schedules and ensure timely project delivery. The candidate will work closely with project managers, engineering teams, and clients to track progress, identify delays, and propose recovery measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain
    project schedules
    , work breakdown structures (WBS), and planning deliverables for EPC and design projects.
  • Prepare and update
    progress reports, resource histograms, S-curves, and man-hour forecasts
    .
  • Coordinate with
    engineering, procurement, and construction teams
    to ensure alignment with project timelines.
  • Monitor progress against baseline schedules and identify potential delays or risks.
  • Conduct
    critical path analysis
    and recommend corrective actions to keep projects on track.
  • Support project managers in preparing
    project execution plans and milestone tracking
    .
  • Prepare
    look-ahead schedules
    and update project plans based on actual site progress.
  • Ensure planning activities comply with
    company procedures, client requirements, and industry best practices
    .
  • Participate in
    progress review meetings
    with clients and management.
  • Provide
    planning input for proposals and tender submissions
    , including man-hour estimates and schedule development.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related field).
  • 10+ years
    of experience in planning & scheduling for oil & gas projects.
  • Proficient in
    Primavera P6
    and MS Project; strong Excel skills.
  • Solid understanding of
    EPC project lifecycle
    and design engineering workflows.
  • Knowledge of
    earned value management (EVM)
    and project performance tracking.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred:

  • Experience in
    offshore and onshore oil & gas projects
    .
  • Familiarity with
    modular construction planning
    .
