Location: Pune Work from Office

Shift: 12:00 pm to 9:00 pm or 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Skills: RPA Automation, Power Automate, UiPath, AI

Good to have: Knowledge of Indirect Tax Returns (US Sales & Use Tax)

What Youll Do

As an experienced Automation Analyst, you will report to the Lead/Manager and partner with the tax-compliance team to deliver process and product-automation solutions. You will contribute to Avalara's tax and compliance automation strategies while enhancing the overall experience of the service.

Work Mode: On-site (Pune)

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop technical skills in AI and RPA tools.
  • Engage cross-functionally to drive and deliver process automation.
  • Perform data analysis and support special projects.
  • Support product setup and customer-settings review.
  • Prepare and file indirect-tax returns (approx. 20 % of time)
  • Apply jurisdiction knowledge to compliance services.
  • Monitor tech-change updates from state/local authorities.
  • Lead process/product improvements for efficiency and risk reduction.

What You'll Need to Be Successful

  • Experience with RPA tools such as Power Automate and UiPath.
  • Ability to learn new software and adapt technology for tax & compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail with accountability and ownership.
  • Consistent on-time delivery; meets deadlines.
  • Collaborative team player with cross-functional communication skills.
  • Willingness to work swing shifts (2 pm to 11 pm).

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics, or Computer Science.
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
