We are looking for a dynamic and hands-on
Supply Chain
Operations Lead
to establish and scale the
Deposit Refund System (DRS) operations in Kerala
. This role demands a true builder—someone who can
build the team from scratch, stand up the collection ecosystem, run reverse pick-ups/line-haul, commission sorting & processing centres, and manage dispatches to recyclers with full compliance and digital traceability
. The role will be pivotal in ensuring that Kerala's DRS operates with
end-to-end traceability, efficiency, and sustainability impact
.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Build & Leadership

  • Hire, onboard, and performance-manage area supervisors, field executives, hub leads, and control-tower analysts.
  • Establish SOPs, SLAs, safety standards, and a rigorous review cadence (daily/weekly).

Collection Ecosystem (Multi-Channel)

  • Plan and commission collection points (RVMs, QR/app/sound-box, manual booths) across priority clusters (urban, tourist, HoReCa, schools, panchayats).
  • Ensure point uptime, consumables, cash/DRS-value reconciliation, ticketing and incident closure.

Reverse Pick-up & Line-haul

  • Design beats, route plans, fleet capacity, and cut-offs; run daily dispatch and recovery.
  • Drive on-time pick-ups, first-attempt success, route productivity, and cost/ton.

Sorting & Processing Centres

  • Set up and operate hubs as warehouses: inbound QC, weighment, grading, baling, storage, and outbound logistics.
  • Implement EHS, 5S, shrinkage control, and throughput targets; manage audits and shift adherence.

Dispatch to Recyclers / Brand Partners

  • Schedule loads, optimize freight, ensure documentation , and maintain digital chain-of-custody.
  • Monitor recycler SLAs (turnaround, quality acceptance) and resolve exceptions.

Vendors, Compliance & Stakeholders

  • Contract and govern transporters, O&M partners, and collection agents with bonus/penalty frameworks.
  • Coordinate with product/tech for device uptime, ticketing, and dashboard requirements.

Control Tower & Reporting

  • Stand up live dashboards for point uptime, pick-ups due vs done, hub throughput, shrinkage, and safety.
  • Lead daily huddles/weekly reviews; publish RCA/Corrective-Action trackers.

Qualifications

  • 7–12 years in high-density field operations (logistics/last-mile, FMCG RTM, waste/recycling, warehousing/device ops), with at least 3 years building teams from zero to scale.
  • Proven vendor contracting/governance; strong commercial acumen and cost control.
  • Data-driven operator (Excel/Sheets; bonus: PowerBI/Tableau); familiarity with routing tools and ticketing systems.
  • Kerala language proficiency (Malayalam) is a strong plus.
