In the Research team, you will be primarily responsible for the Energy Resources and Industrials (ERI) industry (including Energy (Oil & Gas, renewables, etc.), Chemicals, Power & Utilities, Industrial products & construction, and Metals & mining) research, analysis, and writing. You might also have to support other sectors depending on the requirements from time to time. You will be:

Part of the in-house research team in analysing industry developments and trends in India and various other regions;

Implementing research methods, conducting a literature survey of reports and academic papers, leading secondary data collection, and analysing and synthesising data;

Structuring, organising, and synthesising information to generate research hypotheses through rigorous gap analysis of secondary research and developing key insights;

Validating research hypothesis to propose potential in support of the points of view;

Good to have knowledge of leveraging 'new age' tools in research process

Contributing to developing ideas for topics as well as specific approaches to address topics of interest in a rigorous and usually quantitative manner;

Writing draft reports to provide valid and credible findings;

Presenting and summarising data, insights, and preparing a client-ready deck on all deliverables;

Past experience of writing reports or co-authored is a must;

Writing client-ready sections on short case studies and points of view;

Ensuring the quality of deliverables and meeting or exceeding client expectations;

Handling ad hoc tasks or projects, including handling bespoke requests from clients;

Effectively managing multiple tasks and stakeholders of all levels by prioritising urgency and importance;

Continuously building and strengthening relationships with Business & Internal stakeholders;

Managing day-to-day client relationships at mid and lower levels.

Qualifications

Must have 2+ years of experience with a good research background, specifically in industry-related and ERI Industry research.

Good writing and communication skills are a must, and you must have worked on research reports and written short reports.

Knowledge of Gen AI and visualisation tools in making research more efficient and producing visually more appealing output

Has a good knowledge of MS Office applications with a knowledge of basic macros in Excel.

Demonstrates an understanding of / strong interest in core Financial concepts and methodologies.

Is familiar with macroeconomic and financial concepts and major economic databases.

Has a good working knowledge of applied statistical techniques

Must have good interpersonal skills and a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to initiate

Strong multi-tasking skills and a collaborative working style.

Must have very strong attention to detail and the ability and willingness to learn quickly about new subjects.
