Role Summary:
We are looking for an analytical Financial Crime Investigations and Intelligence Assistant Manager to join our team at LSEG Office in India. This position is ideal for someone who possesses investigative experience, attention to detail, and a dedication to upholding regulatory standards. As part of our compliance department, you will play a critical role in analysing and investigating alerts related to potential Financial Crime including Fraud, Bribery, Corruption and Facilitation of Tax Evasion.
Key Responsibilities:
- 2nd line analyst responsible for reviewing and investigating potential "red flags" associated with financial crime risk typologies such as internal expenses, vendor payments etc.
- Performing investigations of alerts flagged by 1st line investigators.
- Reporting of any potential breaches and any other activity in support of the Senior Manager, FC Intelligence and Investigations.
- Maintaining records of investigations and outcomes in accordance with company and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborating with other relevant partners to acquire further evidence.
- Staying up to date with the latest regulatory developments and guidelines in financial crime monitoring.
- Assist in preparing Management Information (MI) reports for governance and oversight forums
Required Skills & Experience:
- Degree "or equivalent experience" in a relevant field (e.g., Finance, Business, Risk Management others).
- Awareness of and ability to identify relevant fraud and anti-bribery and corruption red flags.
- Ability to write concise and professional reports
- Knowledge and application of Open-Source Intelligence techniques.
- Investigative experience with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to balance multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Self-starter with problem-solving capabilities and an improvement mentality.
- Familiarity with Fraud, ABC, Facilitation of Tax Evasion data governance, data quality, and control frameworks.
- Ability to interpret and analyse datasets across multiple systems.
- Ability to communicate professionally and confidently.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams and handling priorities.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in compliance, risk management, or financial crime monitoring (preferred)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
- Report writing
