Job Description Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Manager – EHS to support the implementation and monitoring of Environment, Health & Safety practices across project sites or plant operations. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with applicable EHS regulations, company policies, and industry standards while fostering a safe working environment.

Designation :  Manager - HSSE

Education Qualification : Any Engineering degree with NEBOSH

Total Years of Experience – 14 to 18 Years

Responsibilities:

1. HSSE Policy & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSSE policies, procedures, and management systems.
  • Ensure compliance with national legislation, regulatory requirements, and international standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, OHSAS, etc.).

2. Safety & Risk Management

  • Conduct hazard identification, risk assessment (HIRA), and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Develop emergency preparedness and response plans for site operations.
  • Monitor security arrangements and access control systems to safeguard assets and personnel.

3. Site Safety Management

  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and toolbox talks.
  • Investigate incidents, near-misses, and accidents; prepare reports with corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Ensure safe working practices in high-risk activities (excavation, working at height, confined space, heavy lifting, electrical works, etc.).

4. Training & Awareness

  • Organize HSSE induction for new employees, contractors, and visitors.
  • Develop and deliver training modules on safety, fire prevention, first aid, and environmental practices.
  • Drive awareness campaigns to instill a culture of zero harm.

5. Environmental & Sustainability Management

  • Monitor and manage waste disposal, pollution control, and energy efficiency at sites.
  • Ensure compliance with environmental management plans and client sustainability requirements.
  • Promote initiatives on water/energy conservation, green building practices, and carbon footprint reduction.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain HSSE performance records, dashboards, and statutory registers.
  • Provide monthly/weekly reports on safety statistics, observations, and compliance levels.
  • Support management reviews and audits.
