Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer and support Microsoft Windows Server OS environments including 2016, 2019, 2022, and 2025, ensuring reliability, scalability, and high availability.
• Manage and maintain Active Directory environments including multi-domain forests, sites, replication, and Group Policy, along with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID) integration.
• Configure, manage, and secure Microsoft 365 services such as SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams.
• Use Microsoft Endpoint Manager (MEM) including SCCM, Intune, and Autopilot for provisioning, managing, and enforcing compliance on endpoints.
• Automate repetitive administrative tasks using PowerShell, Azure Automation, and Desired State Configuration (DSC).
• Monitor system health and performance using SolarWinds, Nagios, Azure Monitor and integrate alerts into ITSM platforms.
• Support Microsoft Hyper-V for virtual infrastructure, including provisioning, clustering, and disaster recovery.
• Manage patching and vulnerability remediation with tools like SCCM, ManageEngine Patch Manager Plus, WSUS, and Intune Update Management.
• Maintain thorough technical documentation, SOPs, configuration baselines, and architectural diagrams.
• Participate in an on-call support rotation and be available to perform planned maintenance during evenings or weekends as required.

Education & Experience
Education:
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:
Minimum6–8 years of hands-on experience in Windows systems administration in a medium to large enterprise environment.

Skills & Other Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience as a Windows System Administrator managing Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022, 2025).
• 4+ years of experience and expertise in Active Directory administration, Group Policy management,
• 4 years of experience in administration of Microsoft 365 services: Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Skilled in virtualization technologies: Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure services including Azure AD (Entra ID), Azure AD Connect, AD FS, Azure VMs, and Azure Automation.
• Skilled in endpoint management using Microsoft Intune, SCCM, and Windows Autopilot.
• Proficient in automation and scripting using PowerShell and Desired State Configuration (DSC).
• Effective in managing updates and patches via Intune Update Management and Patch Manager Plus.
• Familiarity with modern automation tools including REST APIs and webhooks.
• Aptitude for implementing AI-assisted automation and scripting solutions.
• Customer-oriented approach with professional troubleshooting capabilities.

Working Conditions

• The work mode of Finisar India is Hybrid i.e. 3 days at office. (Tue, Wed, Thurs)
• Should be flexible to support different time zones
• Should be flexible to be available 24*7 as needed
• Should have strong interpersonal communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and peer groups across the locations of Coherent.
• Should be available for on-call support on rotational basis.
