What you will do

  • Take ownership of internal user issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution
  • Researching, diagnosing, fix, and identifying solutions to resolve Windows/Vmware related issues
  • Nutanix , SRM, vRops will be added advantage
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams
  • Talk to clients (internal) through a series of actions, either via phone, email, or chat, until the request is closed. Follow up after the solve.
  • Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals. Prepare accurate and timely reports
  • Prioritize and lead several open issues at one time. Ensure all issues are properly logged

You will bring

  • Good knowledge of VMware vSphere, ESXi, VM administration and V center administration
  • Coordinate with hardware vendors for repairs and maintenance and manage software support cases with vendors for issue resolution.
  • Administration and problem-solving capability in HP, Dell and Lenovo Hardware, , Firmware BIOS upgrade
  • Monitor server performance and ensure the stability and security of the Windows environment.
  • Support the installation, configuration, and maintenance of VMware ESXi hosts and vCenter Server.
  • Monitor and manage virtual machines (VMs), including provisioning, deployment, and resource allocation.
  • Perform routine backups of virtual environments
  • Troubleshoot and resolve VMware-related issues.
  • Provide technical support for Windows and VMware-related issues, escalating complex problems to senior when necessary.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to servers, virtual machines, and applications.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Participate in training sessions and take initiative to expand knowledge in Windows and VMware administration.
  • Assist in project-based work, including system upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
  • Monitor system performance using tools like Windows Event Viewer, VMware vSphere Client, and other monitoring software.
  • Perform regular system health checks and report findings to senior administrators.
  • Ready to work in 24 X 7 work environment.
  • Experience in Windows Server administration and support (Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022).
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and networking fundamentals.
  • Experience with server virtualization technologies (Hyper-V, VMware) is a plus.
  • Proficient in PowerShell scripting and automation.
  • Experience with patch management and security best practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate) preferred.
