We are expanding our procurement team and looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Purchase with hands-on experience in construction materials, vendor management, and ERP-based purchase systems.
--- Position Overview As Assistant Manager – Purchase, you will be responsible for managing the complete procurement cycle — from vendor coordination and purchase orders to ensuring timely delivery of quality materials for our ongoing construction projects.
--- Key Responsibilities Manage end-to-end procurement of construction materials, goods, and services within project budgets. Oversee purchase processes through ERP systems and ensure accurate documentation. Maintain strong knowledge of construction materials, supplier networks, and pricing trends. Build and manage vendor relationships; monitor supplier performance and resolve quality or delivery issues. Prepare, issue, and track Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure on-time material availability. Coordinate with project sites to understand material requirements and avoid shortages or delays. Negotiate with vendors on pricing, terms, and delivery schedules for cost-effective procurement. Maintain procurement records and generate reports on inventory, vendor performance, and purchase status. Support management with additional procurement-related tasks as needed.
--- Candidate Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, or related field. Experience: 5–10 years in procurement, preferably in construction or infrastructure companies. Strong understanding of building materials, vendor networks, and ERP systems. Excellent negotiation, follow-up, and coordination skills. Good communication and organizational abilities.
