JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SR. ACCOUNTANT

JOB TITLE- Sr. Accountant

DEPARTMENT- Accounts

LOCATION – Vidyavihar

REPORTS TO – Accounts Head

We are Looking for Senior Accountant for ACP Industries is responsible for preparing and analysing financial records, managing the month-end and year-end close processes, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and tax regulations. Key duties include general ledger management, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and supporting audits. The role also requires proficiency in accounting software, strong analytical skills, and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

Responsibilities

  • Financial Record Management: Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. This includes managing the general ledger and overseeing all financial transactions.
  • Financial Reporting: Produce timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  • Month-End/Year-End Close: Lead and support the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Account Reconciliations: Perform and reconcile all accounts, including bank, vendor, and accounts payable/receivable ledgers, to ensure accuracy and proper cash flow.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws, which may include filing GST, TDS, and other corporate tax returns.
  • Audit Support: Coordinate with and assist internal and external auditors during audits.
  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to improve efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyse accounting data to provide insights and recommendations to management.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A Master's degree or CPA certification is often preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of accounting experience is typically required, with experience in a specific industry like manufacturing or construction being a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or Tally ERP.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including functions like VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
  • A strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹15, ₹40,000.00 per month
