About the Role

We are looking for a highly skilled, self‑motivated Senior Automation QE to ensure the delivery of high‑quality web applications and APIs. You will be responsible for both manual and automated testing, building and maintaining test frameworks using Selenium and Playwright with C#, and performing API testing. As this is a contract-to-hire role, you'll have the opportunity to prove your value and transition to a full‑time position.

Responsibilities

• Review requirements, design documents, user stories, and specifications to understand expected behavior, edge cases, and dependencies.
• Create, maintain, and execute manual test cases covering functional, UI, regression, integration, negative, edge flows.
• Build, enhance, and maintain automation test frameworks / suites using Selenium and Playwright (C#) for UI testing.
• Design, write, and execute automated test scripts, ensuring reusability, maintainability, reliability, and readability of the test code.
• Perform API testing (REST / SOAP as needed) using tools like Postman, or equivalent, to validate backend services, data integrity, error conditions, performance under load, etc.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines: setting up test runs, scheduling, reporting, monitoring failures.
• Identify, log, track defects; work closely with developers to debug, reproduce, and ensure fixes.
• Analyze test results; ensure test coverage is sufficient; identify gaps and continuously improve coverage.
• Maintain and manage test environments and test data; set up mocks or stubs where needed; manage dependencies.
• Perform regression testing for releases.
• Provide estimates for testing effort; participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, retrospectives, etc.
• Mentor / guide junior QA engineers / automation engineers; do code reviews of automation scripts.
• Communicate test progress, risks, issues, and metrics to stakeholders (Engineering, Product, Management).
• Optional: usability / single‑user testing or exploratory testing to catch UX or edge‑case issues.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Mandatory:
• Selenium: strong hands‑on experience in writing, maintaining, debugging Selenium automation scripts.
• Playwright + C#: working expertise with Playwright automation framework in C# (writing tests, page objects / patterns, handling waits, selectors, browser contexts, etc.).
• API testing: solid experience testing APIs (REST / SOAP or alike) using tools such as Postman, validating payloads, error codes, performance, data correctness.
• General QA competencies:
• Strong manual testing skills: functional, integration, regression, negative, etc.
• Good programming / scripting skills in C#; ability to read and write maintainable code.
• Understanding of test automation best practices, test architecture, patterns (Page Object Model, DRY, modularity).
• Familiarity with debugging issues, analyzing logs, stack traces, browser console, etc.
• Experience with test data management, mocks, stubs, dependency handling.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, TeamCity etc.).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git).
• Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), QA / Test lifecycle (STLC).
• Experience working in Agile / Scrum or similar iterative development environments.

Job Types: Permanent, Contractual / Temporary

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: ₹100, ₹150,000.00 per month
