Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced
Senior Python Developer
with a strong understanding of
PERL
,
SAP Sybase
, and
SQL
. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing new applications, converting and enhancing existing PERL codebases into Python, and managing complex database interactions. Experience with
Ansible
for automation is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop robust and scalable applications using
    Python
    (5+ years of hands-on experience required).
  • Analyze, understand, and convert existing
    PERL
    scripts to Python, including enhancements and optimizations.
  • Work with
    SAP Sybase
    and
    MS SQL Server
    databases to write, modify, and optimize
    SQL queries
    and
    stored procedures
    .
  • Implement and manage
    program control logic
    , including
    SQL joins
    ,
    filtering
    , and
    result processing
    .
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Utilize
    Ansible
    for automation tasks (preferred).
  • Ensure code quality through unit testing, code reviews, and adherence to best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum
    5 years of experience in Python programming

  • Solid understanding of
    PERL
    , with experience in both maintaining legacy code and developing new applications.
  • Strong knowledge of
    database concepts
    , including
    SQL joins
    ,
    filtering
    , and
    stored procedures
    .
  • Hands-on experience with
    SAP Sybase
    and
    MS SQL Server
    .
  • Ability to write and optimize complex
    SQL queries
    and
    stored procedures
    .
  • Familiarity with
    Ansible
    or similar automation tools is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
