Job Description:

Role Overview:
The Junior Quality Engineer will be responsible for assisting the quality team in inspecting
components, preparing quality reports, and ensuring adherence to company quality
standards. The role requires knowledge of precision measuring instruments and the ability to
read and interpret machining drawings.

Key Responsibilities:
 Carry out dimensional inspection of machined and bought-out components using
instruments such as Vernier caliper, micrometer, and height gauge.
 Assist in preparing quality inspection reports and maintaining proper
documentation.
 Support the Senior Quality Engineer in day-to-day inspection activities.
 Read and interpret engineering/machining drawings to verify product dimensions
and tolerances.
 Ensure inspected parts conform to defined quality standards and highlight
deviations.
 Maintain and handle measuring instruments with care and ensure calibration status is
up to date.
 Provide feedback to production teams on quality issues and work with them to
resolve recurring defects.
 Support in preparing reports for customer inspections and internal audits.
 Follow all safety and quality protocols as per company guidelines.

Qualifications & Skills:
 Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical / Production Engineering (or equivalent).
 1-2 years of experience in quality inspection in a machining or manufacturing
environment (freshers with good knowledge can also be considered).
 Good understanding of measuring instruments: vernier caliper, micrometer, height
gauge, etc.
 Ability to read and understand machining drawings (GD&T knowledge is an
added advantage).
 Basic knowledge of MS Office / Excel for preparing quality reports.
 Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
 Willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of the Senior Quality Engineer.
