Qualification: Degree in Fashion Designing from the National Institute of Fashion Designing (NIFD) or equivalent

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Merchandiser to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will be responsible for product development, vendor coordination, sampling, and production follow-ups, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with buyers and suppliers to understand product requirements and specifications.
  • Manage sampling process — from concept to approval — ensuring buyer satisfaction.
  • Monitor production schedules and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Conduct quality checks at various stages of production.
  • Negotiate with vendors and suppliers for cost-effective sourcing and timely execution.
  • Analyze market trends and customer preferences to support design and product decisions.
  • Maintain detailed reports of orders, shipments, and inventory.
  • Collaborate closely with the design, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless workflow.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of fabrics, trims, and garment construction.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and merchandising software/tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple orders and deadlines efficiently.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Designing from National Institute of Fashion Designing (NIFD).
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in merchandising (preferably in apparel/textile industry).
  • Should be detail-oriented, proactive, and a strong team player.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45, ₹50,000.00 per month
