Experience : 6-9 Years

Work Location : India (willing to travel)

Education : Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics or Computer Science

Language Competency : English, Japanese (Must be JLPT N3. Good in Japanese conversation)

Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering and Analysis:

Lead Requirement Discussions: Collaborate with OEM stakeholders and function owners.

Analyze and Refine Requirements: Evaluate system-level requirements for feasibility, performance, and integration aspects. Ensure clarity, traceability, and alignment with project goals.

Specification Development:

Develop & Maintain System Specifications: Drive creation and management of detailed specifications including overall system, diagnostics, CAN.

Ensure Technical Alignment: Translate OEM requirements into clear, actionable system specifications considering technical constraints and design limitations.

Review & Approve Specifications: Validate completeness, accuracy, and adherence to standards and safety guidelines.

Stakeholder Engagement:

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Technical Architects, Function Owners, Usability Experts, and Design Teams to ensure all requirements are well understood and implemented.

  • Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and act as a subject matter expert in Instrument Cluster and HUD domains.

Requirements Validation:

Review & Validate: Conduct formal reviews of requirements and specifications for quality and compliance.

  • Change Control: Manage requirement changes, maintain version control, and ensure proper communication and documentation through closure.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend process or tool enhancements to improve requirements management and traceability

Work Experience

Experience: At least 5 years focused on Instrument Cluster or HUD software development / requirements engineering.

Domain Knowledge: Strong understanding of Instrument Cluster and HUD features, architecture, and integration with vehicle systems.

Functional Safety: Good knowledge of ISO 26262 and functional safety requirements for Instrument Cluster systems.

Leadership: Proven ability to lead system design and technical review activities across multi-disciplinary teams.

Project Experience: Participation in at least one full-cycle mass production program for Instrument Cluster systems.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in both English and Japanese.

Language:

  • Japanese – JLPT N3 or higher (reading/writing/speaking)
