Job Purpose:
To lead Novus Hi Tech's solar manufacturing solutions by driving turnkey projects for solar module manufacturing line setup, process design, and optimization. The role focuses on delivering tailored technical solutions, and ensuring successful commissioning of solar module manufacturing line for industrial, commercial, and institutional clients.
Role Expectations
- Engage with clients to understand requirements and propose suitable solar solutions.
- Engage with clients to assess manufacturing capacity requirements, process flow needs, and technology specifications.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals including equipment selection, plant layout, and cost estimations.
- Lead technical negotiations and close discussions for turnkey manufacturing plant solutions.
- Coordinate with engineering, design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure timely project delivery.
- Stay updated on solar manufacturing trends, government incentives, and import/export regulations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and technology partners.
Reporting Structure
- This role will report into: Head – Solar Division
Interactions
Internal Stakeholders:
Engineering Teams, Design Teams, Project Execution Team, HODs
External Stakeholders:
Solar Manufacturer and customer, Government/Discom Officials, Vendors, Consultants
II. PEOPLE SPECIFICATIONS
Profile:
Ideally -
- BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy Engineering or Master's degree or related field
- 6+ years of experience in the solar module manufacturing line setup or technical solutions
- Should have hands-on exposure to C&I rooftop solar or utility-scale solar manufacturing projects
Requisites
- In-depth knowledge of solar manufacturing processes, production line machinery, and quality control protocols
- Comfortable with on-site factory visits, equipment audits, and vendor negotiations
Competencies
Technical:
- Understanding of solar manufacturing plant setup, PV module assembly process, and automation systems.
- Knowledge of equipment installation—stringers, laminators, testers, framing & junction box machines
- Ability to understand client requirement and convert them in to prospect technical solutions by identifying pain point and process improvements required.
