Role Definition
Understand enterprise resource planning (ERP)/product lifecycle management (PLM) requirements from facilities and provide solutions/ support by directly working with facility manufacturing team and Caterpillar IT team on process design, development and documentation on Teamcenter Manufacturing deployment and other duties as assigned. Provides functional and technical expertise necessary to design all aspects of production, costs, quality, compliance to safety guidelines, and environmental requirements for traditional/digital manufacturing. Typically reports to a supervisor.
Job Functions
Typical functional/technical expert but not limited functions related to roles equivalent to System Architect, Assembly Planner, Facility Planner, Bill of Materials Manager, Configuration Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Gathering, capturing, integrating, analysing, and using data to increase efficiency and reduce errors throughout the manufacturing process.
- Ideate, Implement and maintain Digital Manufacturing solution.
- Project management, coordination, identifying and addressing problem areas in deploying Digital solutions.
- Support facilities in identifying and implementing enhancements and modifications to adopt Digital Solutions for complex manufacturing processes.
- Leading development/deployment support on planning, development, operation, and maintenance of bill of materials, processes, or resource tools in Teamcenter Manufacturing.
- Coordinate with cross functional team – Design, Engineering, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, IT etc. for deploying solutions.
- Ensure development of new features and continuous improvement Implementation and sign off of digital solutions.
- Providing direct/indirect supervision, coaching and development for operations technical staff and support areas.
- Good multitasking and communication skills
Degree/Experience Requirement
BE/ME (Mechanical/Mechatronics/Digital Manufacturing) or
8-10 years of combined experience in fields of Manufacturing\Manufacturing Systems\Automation\Digital\IIOT desired.
Good knowledge on Industry 4.0, Experience in ERP/MES Implementation desired.
Have exposure to implementation of at least. one or more end to end digital/IIoT solution.
