Junior Mechanical Design Engineer (SPM or Automation / Tooling / Material Handling)

Location: Chikhali, Chakan, Wagholi, Shirwal, Chinchwad, Pune-Maharashtra (Hiring for Multiple Locations in Pune)

Qualification : Diploma OR BE Mechanical (ITI Draughtsman may also be considered)

Experience : 1 to 3 years in SPM / Automation / Tooling / Conveyor industry

Compensation : As per market standards (Minimum 18,000/month OR higher based on performance and experience)

Role Overview : We are seeking skilled and motivated Mechanical Design Engineers to work on Automation Systems, SPMs, Conveyor Systems, and Tooling Solutions. The role requires hands-on experience in 2D/3D design using SolidWorks AND/OR AutoCAD AND/OR ZW CAD, strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute projects effectively.

Key Responsibilities :

  • 3D Modeling, Assembly, and Drafting using SolidWorks AND/OR ZW CAD.
  • Create and interpret 2D layouts and detailed manufacturing drawings using AutoCAD AND/OR SolidWorks.
  • Design sheet metal, solid, and tooling components/assemblies while ensuring adherence to GD&T and engineering standards.
  • Develop and modify designs for SPMs, automation equipment, fixtures, conveyors, and tooling solutions.
  • Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and support project costing activities.
  • Assist in prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and performance validation of designed systems.
  • Collaborate with production, purchase, marketing, quality assurance, and project teams for design execution and technical coordination.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and update records for all design modifications.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and propose improvements in design and manufacturing processes.

Required Skills & Competencies :

  • Proficiency in SolidWorks AND/OR AutoCAD AND/OR ZW CAD.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T, engineering calculations, and drafting principles.
  • Knowledge of Automation, SPM, Conveyor Design AND/OR Tooling Industry processes.
  • Ability to identify and resolve design/manufacturing issues quickly.
  • Good communication, teamwork, and technical coordination abilities.
  • Immediate joiners preferred (added advantage).

  • If you are applying for chikhali location then, candidates must be adaptable to relocation (Chikhali to Chakan) as per company expansion plans .
  • Salary and position level will be commensurate with skills, interview performance, and relevant industry experience.
