Role & responsibilities

The Corporate Lawyer will serve as the companys in-house legal advisor, supporting corporate, commercial, and regulatory matters. You will work closely with management, HR, product development, compliance, and external partners to ensure legal integrity in every aspect of business operations.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, NDAs, vendor agreements, licensing deals, distributor agreements, etc.
  • Ensurecompliance with applicable laws including Medical Devices Rules (MDR) 2017, Companies Act, other regulations, and data privacy laws.
  • Provide legal input on product launches, trials, marketing materials, and regulatory filings.
  • Advise on corporate governance, board resolutions, and statutory filings.
  • Support the company in litigation matters, intellectual property issues, or arbitration, if any.
  • Assist in compliance audits, risk assessments, and policy development.
  • Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting the medical device industry in India and globally.

Preferred candidate profile

  • LL.B. or LL.M. from a recognized Indian university.
  • Enrolled with Bar Council of India.
  • Minimum 57 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the healthcare, pharma, or medical device sector.
  • Experience in corporate commercial law, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation is essential.
  • Familiarity with MDR 2017, CDSCO procedures, ISO, and data protection frameworks is preferred.
