Role Description

The Production Planning and Control Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the production process, ensuring smooth workflow, optimizing resource utilization, and maintaining on-time delivery. The role involves coordinating with multiple departments, managing operators, and ensuring production targets are achieved efficiently while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Plan, schedule, and monitor daily production activities to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery.

2) Coordinate with design, purchase, and quality teams to align production with customer and project requirements.

3) Supervise and guide operators and technicians to maintain process discipline and efficiency.

4) Analyze production capacity, resource availability, and bottlenecks to improve throughput.

5) Track and control production progress through ERP or manual systems.

6) Ensure adherence to quality standards, safety protocols, and company policies on the shop floor.

7) Optimize manpower, material, and machine utilization to reduce downtime and waste.

8) Prepare and maintain production reports, KPI dashboards, and daily performance summaries.

9) Support continuous improvement initiatives and process optimization.

10) Assist in planning preventive maintenance schedules in coordination with the maintenance team.

Qualifications & Skills:

1) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering or related field.

2) 2–5 years of experience in production planning, control, or manufacturing operations (preferably in mechanical or thermal systems).

3) Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, and lean principles.

4) Proficiency in MS Excel / ERP / SAP systems for production tracking.

5) Excellent organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.

6) Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

7) Strong interpersonal and communication skills for team coordination.

Preferred Attributes:

1) Experience in small- to mid-scale manufacturing setups.

2) Exposure to fabrication, assembly, or thermal system production.

3) Knowledge of ISO standards and process documentation.
