Opening: Electrical Maintenance Technician in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our leading medical device manufacturing facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in electrical systems, looking for an exciting opportunity to work in a high-tech environment while gaining valuable international experience.
Initial interviews will be conducted online, with final interviews taking place in Mumbai (details to be provided upon initiation).
Job Description and Qualifications
Education:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Basic educational requirement.
  • Technical Diploma/Certification: In Electrical Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field from a recognized technical institute.
Certifications:
  • Electrical Certification: Relevant certification from a recognized authority.
  • Safety Certification: OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) or NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) certifications are beneficial.
Experience:
  • Work Experience: Several years working as an electrician, preferably in an industrial or medical device manufacturing setting.
  • Specific Industry Experience: Experience in the medical device industry or other regulated industries is advantageous.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment.
  • Local Knowledge: Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations in Saudi Arabia.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Precision in performing tasks to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
  • Physical Stamina: Capability to handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in confined spaces.
  • Communication Skills: Effective communication with team members, supervisors, and other departments.
  • Computer Literacy: Basic knowledge of computer systems and software used in electrical maintenance and repair.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in English for understanding technical manuals and communicating with international team members.

Job Responsibilities:
Installation and Setup:
  • Electrical System Installation: Install electrical systems and components, including wiring, circuit breakers, transformers, and control panels, according to technical specifications and blueprints.
  • Equipment Setup: Set up electrical connections for new equipment and machinery, integrating them into the existing electrical system.

Maintenance and Repair:
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair electrical problems with faulty equipment, wiring, and circuits.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Implement practices to prevent electrical issues and minimize downtime.

Safety and Compliance:
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety regulations and company policies, including using personal protective equipment (PPE) and following lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all electrical work complies with local and international standards (e.g., NEC, FDA, ISO
  • Inspection: Conduct inspections of electrical systems to meet safety and performance standards.

Documentation and Reporting:
  • Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of electrical work, including installation, maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
  • Reporting Issues: Document and report electrical issues, incidents, or safety concerns to supervisors or management.

Problem-Solving and Continuous Improvement:
  • Issue Resolution: Quickly address and resolve electrical issues to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest improvements to electrical systems and maintenance practices to enhance reliability and performance.

Team Collaboration:
  • Coordination: Work closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams to ensure electrical systems support manufacturing processes effectively.
  • Training: Provide guidance and training on electrical safety practices and basic troubleshooting techniques.
